Welding the skeletons

The welding of the two skeletal figures is now complete apart from some general cleaning/grinding of joints and attaching the base plates to the feet. I had the very challenging job of measuring/marking out the many compound joints, cutting them, assembling them and ‘spot’ welding them together.

This part of the project has been very challenging but extreamly rewarding. We are very fortunate to have the professional assistance and guidance of A.K. Engineering here in Rhode.  One of Alan Keenehan’s employees – Sergi, took them from there and MIG welded them. Over the next week or so I will place the two skeletons in position on the ‘remote site’ here outside my workshop. I will then commence bending the 10mm stainless steel rod to fit and TIG weld the joints.
